classic cars

We accidentally stumbled upon a classic car show over the summer and stopped to take a look.

I just love the bold colors and unique designs of these classic automobiles, don’t you? It’s hard to believe just a couple of generations ago these cars were everywhere you looked!

Magnetron at Pier 39 is a cramped, touristy little shop tucked away behind the carousel. I expected the typical San Francisco-type magnets, or the ones that look like mini license plates with people’s names.

Those were there in force, but these food magnets are what caught my eye–and created a little rumble in my stomach!

Yes, they look real, but they’re not! (Boo.)

mermaid inspired

At Pier 39 in San Francisco, one can see all kinds of sea-related motifs, including mermaids.

The Shell Cellar carries interesting and varied interpretations of mermaid personalities, from classic to hip. I’ve always loved mermaids since I was a little girl, and it was fun to see all different manner of the mythical sea creatures!
